The Whitefield Art Collective is back for its third edition this month, and it’s bigger and better than before. Head over to VR Bengaluru to witness this artsy spectacle.

The Art Of The Matter

Transforming VR Bengaluru into one big art gallery, the Whitefield Art Collective is back. Providing a platform to the many up and coming artists in the country, this time the collective has collaborated with institutions like MSU Baroda, JJ School of Art and the Delhi College of Art, and is bringing the work of talented artists from all over to our fair city. In fact, this is supposedly the country’s first travelling art show with pitstops in cities like Chandigarh, Surat and Chennai.  With over a hundred artworks on display, from sculptures to audio-visual installations, the festival will also feature art related events like The Basement Art Project that will transform VR Bengaluru’s basement into an artsy wonderland with murals and wall art, and screenings of art cinema at the Skydeck.

An Artsy Affair

From a life-size chess set {We had major Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone flashbacks with this one} to gigantic apples, your Instagram is going to love what’s in store at this festival. Expect to look at everyday objects with a new perspective as they’ve all been given an artsy transformation, like the plastic bottle installation for instance. This one has plenty of regular water bottle hanging by a thread, kind of like a chandelier of plastic bottles and it made for a pretty sight. Go on, get your fix of art. We all need it!

When: Up until Thursday, February 15

Where: VR Bengaluru, Whitefield Main Road.
