What we ate
While Whooppeezz {yeah that’s how they spell it} offers a selection of pastas and sides {everything from Paneer Tikka Tart and Fries to Nachos and BBQ Chicken Wings}, their fresh, cheesy pizzas are the top favourite here. We opted for the Mama’s Chicken Pizza and the Formaggio. Having already heard about the thick, super-soft crust of their pizzas {thin crust is available for an additional amount}, we were looking forward to try it. The chicken pizza, which came topped with sauteed mushrooms, onions, basil leaves and chunks of roasted chicken, had a delightfully downy base which was nearly lost under a generous layer of cheese. However, the Formaggio, a plain cheese pizza {with a dash of tomato sauce and basil leaves}, works better with a thin crust, we must say.
Giving pizzas a twist, they also offer options like Eggizza {an egg pizza with slices of boiled egg} and the Whooppeezzoo, a double base pizza with two layers of cheese and a whole lot of toppings. Adding to the reasonable prices, they also have combo offers.
A sweet ending
Top it all off with a Guava Ginger Sparkler, a refreshing drink that comes with just the right dose of ginger to add a punch. However full you think you may be, make space for their Tres Leches – a Mexican milk cake {made by soaking in three kinds of milk}, placed on a pool of condensed milk. Rich yet not overwhelmingly sweet, the dessert bowled us over with its creamy flavour. Or try the Chocolate Pizza {with almond flakes or Gems, you choose},
The DL on the ambience
Spacious with warm, inviting ambience, the place is done up in white, yellow and red. Funny quotes about pizzas dot the wall and they even have a selfie corner {with props, too} if you’re looking to capture some Insta moments.
So, we’re thinking…
Ample toppings, interesting versions and so much more to choose from – Whooppeezz can definitely be bookmarked for repeated visits with your gang of buddies.
