It's not every day that I get impressed with a North Indian restaurant here in Bangalore but I really enjoyed my first visit to Maziga. For those who don't know, Maziga means food served in earthen pots and the USP of this place is their 15-course meal. The ambience is nice and spacious considering it's in a mall.
Coming to the food and drinks, I really liked my overall experience and here are some of the highlights. To start, I loved the presentation and unique plating of each of the dishes.
For drinks, I highly recommend Dark Storm and Mauja hi Mauja cocktails.
For starters, I loved the Chaats they have like Artichoke and Kale Chaat, Aaloo Tikki Chaat and Bombay Bhelpuri. In veg starters, I also liked the Paneer Tikka.
In non-veg starters, I absolutely loved the Tandoori Prawn Masala, Mutton Seekh Kebab and Tulsi and Sarson wali Cod Fish.
For the main course, I loved the authentic regional Dal Tadka with Lacha Parantha, Maziga Murgh Maggi Tikka, Mutton Biryani and Baked Raraa Ghost.
For desserts, I really liked the Kurkuri Mysorepak halwa and Coconut Jaggery Ice cream.
So overall, I had a good first experience and would definitely go here when I'm craving good fish or mutton. This place does call for a visit when you're in the VR Mall and craving good Indian meal.
