What Makes It Awesome?

Did you think Khichdi was a "Sick man's delicacy? " Or that it's just a 3 ingredient meal (which it is though)? Now forget all that, think how it would be if someone redefined khichdi for you. Reimagine it in as many flavours as you can and wish to believe from across the country. Khichdi experiment in Koramangala will probably have that on their menu. I loved the ambience of the place, it was cosy and every corner screamed "Khichdi". They also have a really cool graffiti where the word " khichdi " is written in all Indian languages.

This brand new restaurant in Koramangala 5th block has decided to make khichdi multi ingredient and truly you will not find the combinations anywhere else in the city. I could try out 3 different khichdi's only because I went there with my friends. One portion is way too much for a single person.

First I tried,
* The Lehsun aur hari piyaz khichi: Which is garlic and green / spring onion khichdi, I loved how they topped the tadka with some crispy green onions and some regular onion cubes. Loved the mildness of the khichdi with the aromas of garlic and green onion. It was truly a heartthrob. Each khichdi is served alongside some roasted papad, mango pickle and curd. You can also choose to take other items like Kosambari, Punjabi kadhi and the like.
* Bengali Panchphoran khichdi: Which is the Bengali 5 spice mix added to the khichdi. Being from Kolkata, I know very well how much authenticity panchphoran gives to a khichdi, and I absolutely loved it.

What I liked alongside the meals were the Anguri rasmalai: Small spheres of chhena (cottage cheese) soaked in full-fat milk and sweetened. It was truly soft and delicious. I could have had 10 servings of those. They also have mint Chaas, Jaljeera and Masala chhaas as drinks to choose from.
