Ladies, We Found A Zara That Does OTT Lehengas, Indo-Western Kurtas & Blingy Salwars

Shortcut

Yup, you read that right. Now the only thing left for you to do is read more about it and then go shopping for some gorgeous wedding ready lehengas at this store on Commercial Street.

The Indian Connection

Before you call copyright lawyers and gather loyal Zara fans to protest, let us tell you that Zara Fashions in Commercial Street has just borrowed the name and description of the Spanish fashion house. Oh yes, if you search for Zara, Commercial Street on Google, you will see that the description given is something that’s straight out of the Spanish fashion chain’s website. But all that connection to the chain ends there. Because our Zara does trendy and budget-friendly lehengas, kurtas, and salwars for all you girls looking out for a store to sort out all your wedding, sangeet, and occasion ethnic wear.

The two-floored store stocks up on all kinds of lehengas from the simple to the grand as well as materials to DIY. We spotted quite a lot of Bollywood-inspired on-trend lehengas like the ones seen in movies like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Veere Di Wedding. For sangeet or reception, there’s lehenga cholis in pastels. We are told by the gentleman in the shop that you can opt for anarkali suits in pink, blue, and yellow if you are looking for something to wear for mehendi or Eid, Diwali or any festival.

Salwar Power

Finding everyday wear at this store is tough with kurtas and salwar suits coming in both ethnic as well as Indo-western designs. But mostly, too grand to strut to office in. Punjabi, Angrakha, palazzo and jacket-style salwar suits caught our eye along with A-line kurtas and kurtas jackets. These outfits don’t hold back on embellishments, sequin work and mirror work. Solid colours also reign supreme with plenty of kurtas in blue, red, and green and featuring little embellishments in the form of golden buttons, lacy sleeves, and even zari borders. We recommend this for big meetings, or for when you’re going from boardroom to bar.

Bargaining isn’t welcomed here, but we did spot a few customers bargaining and discounts being offered. In fact, the store manager tells us that there’s usually discounts offered during festive and wedding season. And in terms of budget-friendliness, you will find lehengas under the INR 5,000 mark. Kurtas and salwars start around INR 2,000.
