You read that right. Hostel chain Zostel’s newest property in Panchgani is made from re-purposed shipping containers and is touted to be one of the biggest in the country. Perched on the cliffs of Krishna Valley, the hostel comprises dorms and private rooms with the cantilever design of the hostel ensuring that from every section of the container you have that gorgeous and totally Instagrammable view of Krishna Valley. The containers get the trademark Zostel makeover featuring wall arts that have been inspired by the hills of Panchgani. Common rooms come with all sorts of board games and since Zostel is all about the backpacking community, expect to meet like-minded people. Oh, and all those of you looking for some cosy time with their SO, the private rooms are quaint and come with sit outs that look out to the valley below. Oh, and there’s plenty to do in this scenic place including paragliding, trekking and mountain biking.
