Live Match Screenings To Games Centre: E-City Peeps, This Sports Bar Is For The Weekend Shenanigans

Cocktails, all with sports-themed names, match screenings and a sports/games centre right next door — Electronic City’s 3rd Innings is your destination for some banter with the squad.

Where else can you catch a live screening of matches in Electronic City {apart from the lone star hotel in the area} with beer, bar nibbles and a side of pool.

3rd Innings keeps it decidedly simple with a warehouse-like theme, walls with an unfinished, grungy look with exposed bricks thrown into the mix, reflectors on one wall and a huge TV screen {for matches, of course} dominating another. The space isn’t too big but keeps it cosy.

Nothing adventurous on the menu here either. Expect nachos, burgers, pastas and biryanis, all safe options and crowd pleasers. We tried one of the house cocktails called Green Googly, a vodka-based concoction, perked up with lime and mint, and a dash of chilli that leaves a spicy but pleasant aftertaste. We also tried the vegetarian version of Soft Shell Tacos, light {almost like a salad} and leaving us hungry for more. We also recommend the succulent Chandni Kebab, chicken kebabs marinated in plenty of spices and grilled.

For mains, the Tandoori Chicken Pizza hit the right spots with its thin crust, fresh tomato sauce slathered on the base and the generous topping of cheese and chicken chunks. We had the Carrot Cake served with a dollop of ice cream and were pleasantly surprised to discover that this was more of Gajar Halwa than cake.

With Play Factory {a multi-purpose sports venue} attached to the pub, we suggest you go on and make it a day trip. Pick from an expansive indoor arena for cricket and football, or the outdoor area for beach volleyball or beach soccer, with actual sand! But what’s not to be missed here is the trampoline park {India’s first, in fact} with enough jump space for you and your gang!

Given the very few watering holes in the area, folks in Electronic City are bound to be pleased with 3rd Innings. Great to grab a drink or two after work, along with a fun games session at Play Factory. Also, having just recently launched, some dishes on the menu may not be available.
