Select Book Shop is a rare bookstore very close to Blossoms, another mecca for book lovers. Tucked away in one corner of Brigade Road, this 72-year-old bookshop is run by Mr KKS Murthy and his son Sanjay. Spread across two floors, it gives bookworms a good way to spend their days and who knows what you'll end up finding! Mr Murthy has a guest book where he notes down your interests and you can even order books there if you wish, and he will get them for you. It's like an old library cum treasure hunt rolled into one beautiful space. And don't miss out on Mr Murthy's stories of scouring for banned books and escaping with them from America and his friendship with authors like Ruskin Bond.
