Akkad Bakkad's newest flagship store (and second in the city) in HSR Layout is one of those stores that will make you want to buy everything. No really, we wanted one of everything from the store. The lifestyle store has a boho-meets-chic home decor collection, furniture, lifestyle accessories, and kid's decor and furnishings. We would be lying if we said that the first thing that caught our eye wasn't the kid's decor section. It consists of some of the cutest bedspreads, teepees, furnishings, and furniture that we've come across. So cute that we want the bunk bed with the slide in our home. A bunk bed with a slide, guys. Like how can you say no to that? Or the furnishings that feature animal and floral motifs.
We dragged ourselves away from the kid's section to look at the more contemporary decor pieces and we love the element of boho-ness and lots of embroidered designs. You can pick up cushion covers, curtains, table runners and soft furnishings such as throws and rugs that feature pops of colour, prints, and embroidery work. Over at the kitchen and dining section: pick up trays, placemats, coasters, and bowls. These also feature prints and designs that get that boho aesthetic.
Akkad Bakkad also does furniture, and whether you have a design or something in mind, the team can put together designs and even whole mood boards if you are going for a particular theme. They design beds, cabinets, chairs that feature rattan work, folding mini tables, stools, shelves, and sideboards. Oh, lest we forget, there's a whole collection of wall decor in the form of clocks, hoops (we were given a 'kiss the cook' embroidered hoop), mirrors, wall art, frames, and shelves and hooks.
Apart from all of that, you can also pick up kid's clothing and small curious that are perfect for cute gifts—think keychains, buntings, and stoles.
