A beautiful London inspired cafe with a global menu has launched 'Around The World In 80 Plates' campaign, and I couldn't miss it.
I tried the pomegranate base Tabasco infused drink. Next, we tried the soothing Rich Marshmallow Shake, the Nutty Oreo Shake, and Irish coffee.
Coming to the soups and starters, I ordered the wonderful bowl of mushroom and leek soup; it was delicious with strong flavours of mushroom and a mild leek infusion.
Then came a beautiful Mexican salad served in a taco shell so you can break a bit of the taco, scoop out some of the salad, and relish some carbs with the salad.
The Masala Paneer Pops in edible cups had some strong Indian chaat flavours, and I loved every bite of it.
For the main course, we started off with an Italian thin crust square pizza with the hint of South Indian flavours. I tried the Southern Spiced Cottage Cheese Pizza; a Chettinad-style cottage cheese (Palkatti in Tamil, Paneer in Hindi) spiced pizza, it was delicious, but far too tangy to my taste.
If it’s one thing that’s going to make me visit Bloomsbury’s again, it has to be the Trio In A Squash Blanket. A delicious thin long squash slice encompassing a delectable mix of mushrooms, spinach and ricotta on the bed of beet-infused couscous was not great for the palate but looked appealing to the eyes as well. I loved the Mediterranean flavours, and I highly recommended this dish.
Now we can’t end a journey around the world without desserts, can we?
The Russian Honey Crunch Cake and Rich Chocolate Cake was my selection. While the Russian Honey Crunch wasn’t as delicious as it looked, the Rich Chocolate Cake (looked plain) tasted heavenly with a mild infusion of Baileys.
Overall, I almost travelled around the world in the 80 minutes I spent here. Please your palate in a great ambience with a very attentive and personal service.
