What Makes It Awesome

Bangalore loves their pizza. What could explain the dearth of pizzerias in the city offering everything from Neopolitan style to thing crust variants? Adding to the space is Delhi-based Baking Bad who's set up shop in Namma Ooru. Taking the cloud kitchen format, Baking Bad does wood-fired pizza along with a selection of pasta, appetisers in the form of chicken wings, garlic bread, desserts, and some drinks to wash down all that food. Team LBB ended up ordering a variety of pizza for lunch, which Baking Bad was kind enough to send on the house. The vegetarians ordered Melting Pot, Wild Veg, Napoli The Garden, and Hot Spot while the rest of us were content with a Napoli Spicy Chicken and two portions of stuffed garlic bread.

We quite liked the Melting Pot, a thin crust Signature Pizza, that was generously topped with mozzarella, red onions, jalapenos, goat's cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. It travelled well and wasn't soggy at all. The Napoli The Garden is the Napoli Pizza, and it featured a tomato-basil sauce with toppings of broccoli, cherry tomatoes, sautéed spinach, roasted garlic, and some fresh spinach. Again, a winner. The Napoli Spicy Chicken wasn't as spicy as we would have liked (we need face-melting spicy), but nonetheless, it gets our thumbs up. Overall, for a work lunch or even a game night at home, we've got ourselves a pizzeria on our speed dial.

Next time, we are trying out their Napoli Bacon & Fig, Napoli Heisenberg which comes with a tomato-basil sauce base, mozzarella, smoked pepperoni, bacon, chicken salami, smoked chicken and fresh basil leaves garnished with green chillies, and their Korean Wings.

Pro-Tip

There are also customisation options where you can make your pizza with cheese and toppings of your choice.
