Nasi and Mee, Koramangala has introduced an Asia-inspired weekend breakfast with a spin on classics, a few originals and a hint of nostalgia. From the traditional Singaporean Kaya on Toast to the Thai Style Eggs Benedict, there’s plenty to break bread with.

You went here for lunch and dinner for a taste of Asia, but the new breakfast menu packs quite a punch as well. Stacked with Asian classic ingredients and foods combined with breakfasts from around the world to make a menu that has a load of exciting options on it, the menu has sweet and savoury dishes, along with a selection of beverages.

We tried the Singapore Kaya Toast, a sweet coconut, pandan leaf and egg spread on crisp, buttered toast. The spread was just the right amount of sweet and makes you want to put it in a jar and take it home. We also had the Smashed Avocado and Feta on toast, which came with fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes and a balsamic glaze on a practically perfect slice of sourdough bread. There’s also a selection of add ons including sauteed spinach, sausages and eggs.

They also have something for all you sweet freaks — Pandan Coconut Pancakes {with whipped cream, fresh fruit and palm sugar}, a loaded Homemade Granola {with fruit and lots of nuts} and also a chia-seed and berry pudding.

Eggs Done Just Right

But the piece de resistance was the Thai-Style Eggs Benedict. Two perfectly poached eggs and some chicken ham on crisp sourdough bread topped with a Tom Yum Hollandaise, something which we wish they sold in jars too. The Hollandaise was smooth and creamy while the eggs were just right, with the yolk oozing out on the slightest touch of the knife.

Nasi and Mee also has some great beverages including the ABC, an apple, beetroot and carrot juice with the slightest hint of ginger — ideal for all you health nuts, but you may not want to indulge in creamy Hollandaise! For a burst of freshness try the 3Cs — celery, cucumber and coriander juice, which might be suited to those who forever count calories. We preferred The Ice Blended Milo that was a nostalgic trip straight back to childhood. If you’re too confused, you can order the Nasi and Mee big breakfast {choice of eggs with arugula, Kaya toast and sauteed sausages}.
