A Portuguese heritage villa, that’s over a 100-years-old, Amrapali - House Of Grace is where you should go for some quiet time, a romantic getaway and happy vibes. Let’s be honest, not everyone goes to Goa for the sun, sand, and sea. If you’re one of those, then this gorgeous villa is perfect for you. Perched on the banks of the river Zuari, in Siridao, Casa da Graca is a re-done Goan home, now a swanky boutique hotel. The property comes with four bedrooms, each with a great view (of the gardens, the swimming pool, or the river).
Called Creation, Compassion, Devotion, and Peace (see, we told you zen mode on), each of the rooms is different and depending on how elaborate you want your room, pick from basic to luxurious. Peace is priced lowest, possibly as its the smallest, but it’s charming no less. Opening onto a garden that overlooks a lake, it’s cosy, and has a bathtub you may not want to get out of. Compassion and Devotion both open out into the swimming pool area, and are airy and bright. With antique queen beds to lie on, it’s rather fun to keep the doors open — like you’re in a Greek home! For some indulgence, however, the master suite, Creation, will do the trick.
While here, make sure to leave the room in favour of the swimming pool. Almost like a Roman bath, shallow steps lead you into the water where you can soothe your city soul. Food is made in-house, and you can expect French meets Goan cuisine. Of course, you can’t let go of the fact that this property is on the river. This means, get a beer, or tea, and take it to the deck and chill out watching the sunset.
