If you live in Kanakapura and hate going to the city for gigs, worry not for The Circular Square brings to you theatre, music and art based events among other things. Started by Arti Subramanian, the space used to be a dusty coffee factory and is now refurbished into the lovely two-storied building. While the first floor is fully dedicated to co-working, the ground floor is open to leisure based activities and is open to the public. Feel free to hire the ground floor space for a few hours for meetings and conducting workshops. The hourly charge is INR 500, and prices go up with add-ons. The Circular Square is also equipped with a pantry, library, breezy garden and open patio to sit back and relax in.
Workshops and courses are regularly conducted here as well, so in case you’re intrigued - check out their website to know what’s happening be it online or offline. With the intent to create a community in Kanakapura, Arti invites theatre groups, musicians, and poets among others to perform. Come weekends, there's paint parties on Sundays, and an open mics on the last Saturday of the month with fresh faces every time! The space is award-winning ('RISING STAR' at TIMES SheUNLTD Awards 2020), women-led, and a breath of fresh air for anyone with even a single creative bone in their body. It's five minutes away from the Doddakalasandra Metro station, so you don't even have to worry about commute.
