Just outside the nostalgic Malleshwaram Railway Station, is a small shop by the name, Shri Raghavendra Stores. A small outlet serving piping hot south Indian delicacies. The shop is as old as the Old town of Malleshwaram. It feels like time has stopped here. Generally, there is a 15 minutes waiting line here on weekend mornings of Fans coming here for years to hog on their favorite breakfast option. The method of ordering is simple, buy a coupon at the counter and give it to the next counter which is adjacent to it.
We tried the fluffy Idlis, Wada, Kesari Bath, Saviage Bath and also Masala Dosa. Their coconut Chutney is super thick and delicious. Kesari Bath is filled with some dry fruits and loaded with Ghee. They have a separate shop for Dosas which is just opposite to the main shop. The Dosas are normal and taste just like they should, nothing exceptional about it.
We also tried their super Aromatic Coffee, they serve the same to you in steel glasses. Grab one glass and head straight to the railway station and enjoy your coffee with the sight of trains passing by.
Must visit place for breakfast when in Malleshwaram!
