Ranga Shankara Theatre Festival is back and this time they are celebrating twenty years of Ranga Shankara and staging twenty plays that span over twenty days. The Bangalore Theatre Collective is producing the festival that will highlight Kannada plays alongside productions in English, Hindi, Hindustani, Marathi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Lepcha, Bengali, and Assamese. Audiences can expect a rich blend of the old and new, modern and classical, traditional and experimental works each weekend — from Thursdays to Sundays.

There are four events centred around the theme of Salt, Fat, Acid, and Heat that will have you explore how to cure meat using salt, the role of butter in baking, understand vinegar and how it's integral to Indian cooking, and how heat makes food different. KYNKYNY art gallery is hosting Forest Fables, featuring the works of artist Ganapati Hegde.The contemporary acrylic on canvas artworks feature the wonderland of coastal Karnataka, native biological life, and the forests of Uttara Kannada. Ganapati uses a unique illustrative style incorporating bright colours and a technique that mixes ink and paint and drawing with brushwork. All the artwork features part-real, part-imagined forestscapes.
