With their first outlet springing up in South Africa, 20 years ago, you can now bite into Galito’s flame grilled chicken in Namma Bengaluru by heading to their branch in Whitefield. Get ready to try out some interesting African and Portuguese flavours.

Our Latest Flame

With a bunch of interesting flavours and meaty options on the menu and a casual and easy dining arrangement, Galito’s is our new go-to when the meat cravings strike. From their chicken wings, nuggets and strips to their wholesome grilled chicken, this place is infusing some African and Portuguese flavours into our meat staples and we’re not complaining. Galito’s is apparently known for its peri-peri chicken that they claim they marinate in a mix of peri-peri sauces for 24 hours before it is grilled to perfection and served to you. Bite into this deliciousness for a starting price of INR 220 {prices vary depending on the portion size, the cut of the meat and the sides you order along with it}.

Afro-Portugal Flavours

Apart from the flame grill chicken, which is obviously a must-try, Galito’s also has espetadas, a Portuguese-style dish of seasoned meat on a skewer, that is cooked over a flame, on their menu. Choose between chicken and prawn espetadas to try out. Can’t make that decision? No problem! They have a Combotada where you get two portions. So try both chicken and prawn in one go, or just gorge on a double serving of each. From lemon & herb to mild, hot and extra hot flavours, give your meat just the right kick of spice it needs, Galito’s selection of sauces.

Vegetarians don’t fret! They have a stuffed cheese version that sounds just as delicious to us.

On The Side

With a whole bunch of sides to choose from, have a complete and satisfying meal here. We’re talking Portuguese-style O’Porto rice, coleslaw, green salad, garlic bread, peri fries and grilled mushroom among others. They serve platters that let you try their grilled chicken along with four or more sides, so we’ve already placed our order. They also have a host of peri-peri flavoured dishes — from Peri-Shrooms, grilled mushrooms rolled in your favourite peri-peri sauce, served with a side of garlic bread, and Perimmus and Pita, pita bread and peri-peri hummus, to their Chicken Satay with a Peri-nut dip.

They have a kid’s menu as well, with Honey Chicken Strips and Chicken Nuggets on offer. And don’t forget to bring napkins along cause hands are gonna get messy {we aren’t only talking about the kids here}.
