Finally, a gorgeous European style all-day diner that HSR Layout can boast about!

Must Eat

The delightful new Café Here & Now presents a good mix of new and interesting, and some classic all-day breakfast/brunch options. The choices include breakfast platters, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pastas, waffles, pancakes, smoothies and shakes.

While our heart goes out to vegetarians for there aren’t enough options, but we love the variety this place offers meat lovers. The Pork O Pine, a roasted juicy pork and pineapple burger, B4 – Bruhat Bengaluru Bruhat Burger, if the name doesn’t entice you, just go over the description {chicken sausage, salami, bacon, pork ham, eggs and the works} and Two One’za Two {just order one to find out}, a really fun burger, are favourites here. You will love the 5th Hangover Healing Sutra omelette {Yes, that is how it is worded} if you love avocados. The Badmash Badshah, a vegetarian version of a hearty burger made with kidney beans or rajma is another favourite here. A special mention needs to go out to the Crisp French Fries & French Toast {look beyond the wrinkly edges, and you’ll find happiness}.

What We Love {Apart From The Food}

This naturally brightly lit café is one incredibly cheery place. White exposed brick walls with spurts of turquoise blue, the minimal pop-art pieces on the wall, the mix of rustic and contemporary furniture, the open bookshelf with just enough tomes, the scribble sheets for the art enthusiasts, are just some of elements that one could be drawn too. Plenty of indoor games, carom, foosball, a guitar, are just some of the things you can indulge in. And last but not the least, the music — it’s French, and adds to the European flavour.

What Didn’t Impress Us

It is common for new cafés to adjust the service delivery time according to the footfall. While on a weekday morning it was spot on, the service got a little slow during the busy afternoon. The house-special Papaya jam is slightly acquired in terms of taste and texture and did not hit the spot with anyone of us at the table. Something basic like a Lime & Ginger Soda tasted flat and the Oreo Shake was pretty average. And the place closes at 8pm. That is a bit of a letdown. But the good thing is that the service staff is receptive to feedback.

#LBBTip

It is in the heart of HSR Layout, so best place to park would be inside the BDA, which is right across the road. Being one of the only all-day breakfast places in HSR, weekends are very busy. Do expect some waiting time.
