My love for momo and Sel roti made me visit Bamey's Restro Cafe. This place serves you Nepalese cuisine and yes you do get Buffalo meat here.
I tried there steamed chicken momos, Chicken Thukpa, Chicken Spring roll and Sel roti with vanilla ice cream.
The momos were really very good, filled with a good quantity of chicken and served with chilli and peanut sauce. You get a wide variety of momos here. From Bhut momo which is topped with Bhut Jholokia chilli powder to butter paneer, butter chicken, afghani momo and more. Also, this place has a contest. If you can finish 10 pc of bhut jholokia momos in 10 mins, you get free momos for 100 days 😀👍. You do get Buffalo momo here too!
The chicken Spring roll was a little disappointing, as it was more of chicken roll and not at all spring roll. Though the taste of the roll was average.
The chicken thukpa was my favourite, the soup was the best part, the noodles well cooked. It had the perfect spice which will leave a good taste to your tongue.
Now, the main reason for me to come here was to try the Sel roti. I love Sel roti, use to always eat it back home. When I got to learn that Sel roti is available in Bangalore too, I got very excited. But, this place didn't serve the kind that I was expecting. It was a little harder. A little disappointed, but again the ice cream which I know was not a good combination, helped me to finish the it.
The ambience was very cosy with Nepali decor and music.
Service was good. The waiters were very polite. Do give a visit to this place to enjoy some good Nepalese food.
