Cheeseling Bhel & Gulab Jamun Mousse: Kumara Park Folks, Say Hi To This All Vegetarian Restaurant

What Makes It Awesome
An Amitabh Bachchan mural welcomes you, against yellow brick walls, a vintage, hand-painted scooter with a sidecar. Bollywood, here we come! Start your meal here with crisp Masala Khakras topped with puffed rice, sev and squirts of beetroot mayo, sour cream and pesto. Move on to the lovely Cheesling Bhel — sweet-sour with pomegranate jewels, mitha chutney and sev, but with a healthy dose of sour cream too. We also recommend their Makhana & Nuts Masala, a fox nut chaat with cashews, almonds, and pistachios in a spicy and sweet mix. If you love broccoli then you must try the Tandoori Mustard Broccoli — char-grilled broccoli with kasundi and honey. The bread and cheese rolls we tried next were pretty standard. Housefull also serves a range of mocktails, and we are giving a thumbs up to the spicy and piquant Guava Chilli.
For mains, try the fragrant Palak Pulao with a Paneer Tikka Masala. But the platter of different kinds of naan was our favourite. There was a cheese and chilli naan {like the Bombay sandwich filling}, a pickled onion naan and taftan {a slightly sweet flatbread with origins in Persia}. We could eat these naans just by themselves.
Save some space for dessert. The Gulab Jamun Mousse was a beautifully presented dessert with a dark chocolate and white chocolate mousse layered with gulab jamun and a pani puri came on top filled with chocolate sauce, which you have to crack. There’s also the Bournvita & Pista kulfi served with caramel popcorn. Yum!
