Does watching (or anticipating) the Champions League make you want to dust off those studs? Perhaps your performance at FIFA make you long to try it out yourself. While sports bars are packed with enthusiastic fans, we’re here to suggest an alternative way to celebrate. Grab a friend (or four), pack your kit and head to these football arenas in Bangalore. You never know, you could even give India hope to someday qualify for the Olympics!

XLR8 – Indoor Sports Arena

Just 4 kms from Hebbal, XLR8’s signature green nets grab eyeballs. Football tournaments are conducted routinely but private sessions can be conducted with prior booking. If you live in that side of town, this is a fun place to break a sweat! If you’re serious about your game, then bring out more than 12 people on pitch and you’ll get an official referee too.

Kicks On Grass

If you stay in and around the Bellandur area head to Kicks On Grass. They have 3 outdoor (2 6v6 and a 5v5) and an indoor 6v6 turf. Of the outdoor options, one is a proper ground that can also be used for other sports (cricket basically) if you're so inclined. You can either book this through PlayO, or call them directly. We recommend gathering your squad and making a booking together.

Play Arena

A whopping 15,000 sq ft of FIFA-approved astroturf is what you’ll get here. What more do you need? Switch off the television and get into the sport for real! And make a day of it by trying out Paintball, rock climbing, laser tag and even go-karting right here. They even have a small cafeteria where you can refuel.

Astro Arena

Another arena that hosts football tournaments frequently, Astro Arena’s astro-turf and its floodlights are always well received. Book a game, show off your skills and leave feeling like a football star. Did you know their ground is one of the biggest in Bangalore? We’re hopeful that the next Messi will come out of this arena.

Power Play

Power Play sprawls over four acres in the growing hub of Whitefield. Unsurprisingly, it’s the go-to destination of working professionals in the ITPL area to let off some steam. Due to its popularity, we recommend booking way in advance at Power Play. Go on, pick up that phone already!
