It’s a Cirkus out there at HSR. Expect nothing fancy but a great place to have fun with a large group. I got to make my own drinks with a little help from the expert mixologist Rashid; it was a super fun and great experience.
The best part about this place is their drinks menu and the level of customisations that are on offer with the award-winning in-house Mixologist. The names are unique, and they'll take you back to some memories of the Cirkus.
Coming to the food, we started off with their oh-so-delicious hariyali kebabs. These crisp and wonderfully flavoured kebabs with balanced spices tasted amazing with the pudina chutney.
The Cheese Palak Kurkure was a very crispy starter with a gooey cheesy centre. This was a delicious dish.
The Magnificent Malai was the Cirkus version of the very popular dahi kebabs. This dish was smooth, delicious, and had strong Indian flavours, but I didn't like the strong overpowering cardamom flavour.
For the main course, we decided to order a few and share. We ordered the Sweet Corn & Salsa pizza, a thin and crispy tangy pizza with an overload of sweet corn. Next, we tried the Roasted Bell Pepper Penne Alfredo, the pasta was delicious with roasted bell pepper alfredo sauce.
The best dish was the Dum Aloo Curry with zafrani pulao. It was the most delicious and flavourful dum aloo curry that I have ever tried. The curry was packed with the right amount of spices and was served with aromatic zafrani pulao. I loved every bit of it, and I would visit the restaurant for this dish alone.
With no mood to overeat, I decided to take a spoonful of desserts from my friends, the Gulab Jamun Rabdi Parfait was toothsome and had a balanced level of sweetness. And the Walnut Brownie with ice cream was the perfect way to end this delicious meal.
This place is a new addition to HSR, and it's a must-visit for a party with friends or a family dinner.
