If you are in HSR and need a new spot to hang out, Kairos might be the one. It’s got plenty of open-air settings, relaxed and easy vibes, and cafe fare that’s fusion through and through.

Squad Diaries
It seems to be a trend in HSR with many of our favourite cafes taking on that house-turned-cafe model. Kairos is the latest entrant to that list and the folks have got themselves a huge mansion that offers plenty of space for you to check in with your friends. You could park yourself at the al fresco setting just at the entrance or you could head to the Pondicherry-themed area — expect a lot of yellows, whites, and French words. Take the stairs up if you’re looking to chill at the terrace that’s dotted with planters, fairy lights and trees — perfect for date night. Board games, a mini foosball table, and plenty of doodle work around the cafe to take pictures and selfies should keep you entertained while you wait for your food.
Fusion Beats
Adding a twist to practically everything, even the sandwiches here are exotic. They come with focaccia bread and a choice of stuffing ranging from mushrooms to lamb. The bread is made in-house, so are the pastas and dessert. We tried the Chiragsutra which is tagliatelle pasta that gets doused in a coconut milk-based sauce. Interesting choice of ingredients for the adventurous eater, but there’s Mac & Cheese for anyone who craves for something closer to home.
You definitely need to order a round of Grandpa’s Balls — mostly for the fun of it {you know what we are talking about} and also because they’re crispy cheese and cornballs. Fans of Arancini can order a rather exhaustively long named dish ‘Hmm Ain’t A Crazy Guy To Deep Fry Rice’. Choice of stuffing is either biryani rice or sambhar rice and it’s served with the gongura mayonnaise and tomato gojju salsa. If pizzas form your staple, go for their Spizzas which are 14-inch long pizzas — almost like a long flatbread. Do order the Mango Bango from the dessert section, and mocktails, shakes, and tea from the drinks menu.
So, We Are Thinking...
We are definitely going back for some more of that open-air ambience and Grandpa’s Balls. Free WiFi and pet-friendly just makes things more appealing.
