We love ourselves a cosy outdoor cafe and Kana By Coffee Mechanics is just that and more. We dropped by one morning for breakfast and we loved the cute outdoor seating surrounded by foliage, the coffee station, and the pizza station (they have a brick oven!). A staircase by the side leads to the indoor space that doubles up as an event space as well as a spot to work out of as well. They recently held the finals for the Aeropress challenge. The menu, crafted by Chef Varun Raj, is a fun and interesting one with small plates, pizza, sandwiches and burgers taking centre stage. But it's the breakfast menu that we quite liked since in that part of the town, the breakfast options are far and few.
We fancied ourselves a Potato Rosti along with a refreshing Cherry Basil Soda. The crispy potatoes, the scrambled eggs, and arugula made for a solid breakfast of the champs situation. We're going back for the Kana Breakfast Plate that features sausages, eggs, wedges, sourdough toast, and preserves. Even the Frittata and Cilbir have us craving.
For the coffee aficionados, there's single estate coffee available in a brewing method of your choice or you can pick classics like the cortado and Vietnamese iced coffee. We spotted some interesting coffee specials such as Millet Jaggery Latte (a cold coffee situation) and Apple Pie Latte (a hot coffee).
