If you're looking for authentic Mughalai food, then Qissa Khawani on Church Street {also known to many as QK} is undoubtedly one of the best places to visit in Bengaluru. QK is a quaint cafe - one that was tastefully done and it's located near the interiors of Church Street. Though they have a very limited menu, they have kept the authenticity and availability intact for the all the dishes. The amazing playlist only adds to the charm.
We ordered the murgh lahsooni malai tikka and dahi ke sholey. Everything was prepared right in front of us. The tikka was served hot with green chutney. It was absolutely tender and charred to perfection. The dahi ke sholey was amazing. The mutton curry {the recipe of which s a family secret}, lassi{meethi and namkeen} and the kheer are a must try. They also serve hot paranthas, a variety of tikkas and amazing chicken and mutton pulao. The dal makhni was recommended to us as well. We loved QK for it's unadulterated, homely and effortless ways of cooking. The service was also really great. The warmth of this place is kinda overwhelming. Plus, the experience was totally worth the money.
