Hae Kum Gang
Hae Kum Gang is one of our favourite Korean restaurants in the centre of town (it's located on Castle Street) and when you walk into the restaurant, you feel transported to a Korean granny's house. Very vintage-like furniture and kooky decor elements crowd the space. The service is quick and there's often a crowd during lunch hours on weekends. They don't serve soju but they have sangria on the menu but we say skip it. They sell kimchi and mandu by the kilo should you wish to take some home.

The staff knows what they are doing and can give some good suggestions as well. Plus, it's also not too hard on the pocket. And if you love some good soupy noodles and hot broths, then there's plenty of that on the menu as well.

Almost all the tables have a grill attached should you go for the Korean BBQ. The menu has some really interesting Korean food that goes beyond the staples with Shabu Shabu on the cards.

Soo Ra Sang
One of the oldest Korean restaurants in Bangalore (they have been around since 2004), Soo Ra Sang is known for their K-BBQ and the Korean owner who can be a bit intimidating for first-timers. She usually is trying to explain the way to go about eating and the nuances but sometimes it can get lost in translation. But that being said, whatever you are ordering their range of banchan additionally comes with pancakes and a dessert on the house.
