Your favourite cafe could be one that serves your coffee exactly the way you like it, has a vibe so soothing that you just don’t want to leave, fits your budget or has food so good that you run to it every time you need some comfort. We made a list of the ones that have all of that and hence, we’re such big fans...
#LBBPicks: Our Favourite Cafes Across Delhi NCR
In Delhi
Triveni Terrace Cafe
This Mandi House cafe is our refuge when we need to escape all the city noise. They have an indoor as well as outdoor area, but the latter is the star here. Their menu is full of homely dishes and it's an ideal place for catch-up dates.
Recommended For: Filter coffee, sabudana khichdi, palak patta chaat
Diggin
This gem in Anand Lok is quite popular among the college-going crowd. Both their indoor and outdoor areas have their own charm (we admit having a soft spot for the latter, since it's got a swing, fairy lights and is pet-friendly). Fair warning: Parking can be a problem here.
Recommended For: Belgian Chocolate Shake, Spaghetti Carbonara, Classic Cold Coffee
Rose Cafe
Rose Cafe's all-Victorian decor is the first thing that'll catch your eye. Their insta-worthy interiors go very well with the top-grade menu (they've even got one for vegans!). We say, bookmark this one for a romantic date with bae.
Recommended For: Espresso Con Panna, Rose Cafe Iced Coffee, Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Mezze PlatterEchoes
When it comes to cool cafes and pubs, the North Campus area has no dearth of them. But the one that takes the cake in our list is this one. Whether you need a place to chill with your friends or for a date, Echoes is well-suited to both. It's known for having a differently-abled staff, but we're impressed more by how promptly they run it. There's another branch in Satya Niketan which is worth checking out as well.
Recommended For: Baked cheese nachos, Tandoori Chicken Momos
Cafe Wink
On the other side of Yamuna lies this stunning place. Be it their French windows, lamp lighting, polite and attentive staff or their budget-friendly menu and relaxed vibe—everything is spot on. Trust us, it's worth making a trip for.
Recommended For: Kit-Kat Shake, Garden Lasagne, Coffee Frappe
AMA Cafe
Spanning across three floors, you'll find this cafe within the narrow lanes of Majnu Ka Tila (it's easy to miss the staircase that leads up to the place, so you need to keep an eye out for the signboard). We'd recommend this especially for a hearty breakfast and desserts.
Recommended For: Caffe Mocha, American breakfast, Mud cafe
Cafe Lota
You'll find this one inside the National Crafts Museum. With a menu that includes dishes from multiple states of India, Cafe Lota's got a simple yet outdoorsy-vibe, which would make you feel like you're sitting in an urban village.
Recommended For: Filter Cold Kaapi, Kesari Lassi, palak patta chaat, kathal biryani
Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters
Recommended For: Iced Latte, Flat White, gnocchi, garlic fries
In NCR
Cafe Soul Garden
This beautiful place in DLF Phase 4 has a large, outdoor area and lets you chill with your pets, music and straight-from-the-oven pizzas. They also host regular, open-air movie nights which you can read more about here.
Recommended For: Verdure pizza, cold coffee
Di Ghent Cafe
Located in Cross Point Mall, this one is our go-to when we're craving a warm, comforting cup of hot chocolate. We love this place for its woodsy, European interiors and quick service. Read more about our experience here.
Recommended For: Hot Chocolate, Waffles, Wolfson Pancakes, Iced Cafe Latte
The Big Chill Cakery
Noida peeps, this cakery-slash-cafe inside the DLF Mall of India has a vintage-y vibe and an entire side dedicated to displaying their scrumptious desserts. They also have an outlet in Khan Market but unlike this one, there'd be no gorgeous seating area to chill at.
What To Order: Irish coffee, tiramisu
