What Makes It Awesome

Turn up the quirk quotient of your space with leaf art decor and accessories from Bangalore-based brand Aralikale. Made with peepal leaves and natural vegetable and coffee dyes, these products are creative and eco-friendly. Dyed in pretty pastels, these paper-thin dried peepal leaves are incorporated into a range of decor — from trays to wooden and paper lamps to mouse pads. The clear glass placemats with leaves pressed in between them and the paper ceiling lamps are just a few things we found and loved. The products are all handmade in limited quantity.

Ladies, Aralikale makes lovely leaf earrings too that are just the accessory to make your whole outfit pop. Available in whites, greens and light pinks, these make for a pretty pair with just the right touch of whimsy. Prices are reasonable too, starting at just INR 150.  A venture started and run by a Bangalorean teacher Jagadish, Aralikale taps into his inner artist and creativity in his spare time and operates out of his own home in JP Nagar. Apart from leaf art, expect clocks, earrings, tray and more made from vegetables and even old cassette tapes. They also make customised products, so if you have something in mind you can get it done here.

Check out Aralikale’s products on Facebook and you can also head down to Jagadish’s home cum store on Kanakpura Road and pick up some stuff from there. But make sure you give him a call at +91 9845027539 before you drop in. You can also find them at the occasional flea and exhibition in town.
