A themed restaurant that looks to invoke the wild, wild west, Millers 46 has little room for the delicate in its decor and on its menu. Their meat packed menu whose crowning glory is its lineup of classic steaks and we recommend that you cowboy up before you dig into their enormous, legendary slabs of juicy meat. Heavy wooden chairs, wheels and wooden barrels hanging from the roof, showpiece animal skulls, and cowboy figurines standing resolutely in the corner – you’ll see it all.
They don’t mess around with the steaks and that yields delicious results. The Big Boy Texas T-Bone Steak is one of their classics and a meat lover’s delight. What you get is a hunk of meat (a fillet and a strip – a type of cut that comes with a layer of fat on top – rendered together). The steak is grilled with a peppery sauce that highlights the juiciness of the meat and the fat which gives it a smoky richness. Also, don’t even think about asking for a bite of our simple Fillet Mignon With Mushroom Sauce. We do not share. At all. Now, if you’re a chicken ‘steak’ sort, opt for the Jamaican Pepper one that really ups the spice, but without going overboard. We even love their Barramundi Steak – a juicy Bekti grilled with a light pepper and lemon marinade.
The steakhouse also has other mains such as the Jamaican Jerk Pork Chops that come with red bean rice and a bell pepper side. Vegetarians, worry not amidst meat heaven because the place has a fine array of veggie steaks and appetizers as well, Ask us and we suggest the Cottage Cheese and Corn Steak. A must try for your carnivorous instincts, round up the day with their desserts, more on that here.
