From a roadside Halwai to one of the most famous eateries in Mumbai. In the 1940s the Mulchandani brothers sold Pani Puri in Bans road in Karachi and their products had become British India preferred. Partition saw the Mulchandanis to India - leaving behind valuables in favour of utensils they used to make Pani Puri & Ragada they landed in Bombay.
Kailash Parbat, Bombay was born in 1952.
Since then, Kailash Parbat has grown immensely in popularity - a regular favourite amongst people of all ages.
I tasted some of the recommended dishes from the menu:
• Fresh Lime Soda - Served in actual Goli Soda Bottle, which was really interesting.
• Mango & Fennel Lassi - One of the most unique Mango Lassi I tasted. It was served in mini milk can shaped glass.
• Namkeen Pink Peru - Guava juice served in a glass where glass topped with Chilli Powder & Salt.
• Paneer Tikka Mastani - Spicy Paneer Tikka, which tasted really authentic in taste.
• Kofta E Dilbar - Kofta stuffed with Vegetables & tossed with secret spices gravy. It was a perfect combination of bread.
