FINALLY, the city's favourite (if not only) ramen bar is opening up a brick-and-mortar space. Started during the pandemic by, Kavan Kuttappa, the ex-culinary head of Toit and The Permit Room, Naru Noodle Bar, was born from his love for ramen and Japan. From pop-ups and deliveries, it is now ready to serve up ramen in a bowl, at a bar!
Oh yes, Naru Noodle Bar is no longer a cloud kitchen. You can book a seat at the 8-seater noodle bar that's designed in a typical Japanese ramen bar, complete with Naru branding. The ramen bar is located inside The Courtyard. To get a seat at the ramen bar, you need to watch out for their weekly reservations that open up on Mondays. The ramen bar is open Wednesday to Sunday through a time-slot seating format (75 minutes per slot).
On the menu, you'll find all your favourite ramen -- Spicy Tori Paitan to Hazelnut Tantanmen, and of course vegetarian and vegan versions of ramen. Along with ramen, don't miss out on the chicken karaage, togarashi-dusted edamame and pork gyozas. There's sake on the menu as well as kombucha from Mossant Fermentary.
