Looking for wardrobe magicians for your big day? Then hit up Needle Eye Boutique, near Commercial Street, that’s a big hit with brides for their ornate blouses, trendy lehengas, and chic gowns.

What Makes It Awesome

Established over a decade ago by Sakina Ahmed, Needle Eye Boutique is located just off Kamaraj Road (it’s at the end of the same lane as Vashi’s Jean Shack). Spread across a couple of floors, Needle Eye is a favourite with brides and is popular with fashionistas who love customised clothing that looks like a million bucks but doesn’t necessarily cost as much. The boutique has a team of designers on call so you can drop in at any time, during their working hours, and they’ll be happy to help you out. What we love is that their impeccable work — they really have an eye for detail. For brides, they craft heavily designed and embellished blouses that will make a statement for sure. We spotted blouses with elegant floral flourishes, elaborate beadwork, and even deities woven into the patterns. In many, they work with blend a variety of fabrics and patterns so you end up with a blouse that makes a statement.

They have plenty of expertise in gowns and lehengas too. For these, you can come to them with or without any design inspirations and they’ll create a look for you from scratch. Once you are happy with the design, the boutique even sources fabric for you. You can get simple A-line gowns in lace or poofy ones with multiple layers. They have some sleek designs that are perfect for BFFs of the brides or for that super important event at work. With lehengas too, you can go from simple silhouettes to heavily adorned ones.

Navya considers herself to be the Cassandra of the 21st century – no one ever listens to the wisdom that she so willingly imparts. This is the only Greek tragedy element in her otherwise happy life. She’s got her Husband Charming, has perfected the art of sarcasm, is always fed copious amounts of good food, and is well on her way to self-actualization.
