Keeping the fine dining experience fresh as ever, Mynt’s new menu is inspired by the last festive season (so it can be Christmas or New Year all year long!). As a vegetarian, fine dining experiences have always been slightly disappointing, but Mynt delivered.
The Mezze sampler’s perfectly filling by itself if there isn’t a limit on serving yourself! Love Italian? The Antipasti platter’s tomato mozzarella and mushroom samplers won for bite sized bursts of flavour, and the warm burrata for its umami. Since the starters were the true stars of this show, the mains (mushroom risotto, and a tomato based spinach malfatti) served well to feel like you’ve eaten a meal. The warm chocolate pudding with ice cream is like winter, but in dessert form with rum soaked raisins and custard sauce.
The drinks were also curated to fit the theme and the Mynt Twist (vodka based) and Cappuccino Martini (personal favourite) didn’t drown out the flavours of the food. The Raintree, in honour of the 170 year old raintree on the property, was a dramatically made cocktail, to treat all your senses, especially if you’ve always wanted to taste petrichor.
