The Scoop

The good folks at Good Earth give us yet another reason to be broke but fabulous with their brand new line – Nicobar, which just went live yesterday. Covering clothing, house and home, and travel accessories, Nicobar’s that beach-hair-don’t-care cousin of Good Earth that oozes affordable luxury, with fabrics, silhouettes and colours that hit us right in time for summer.

The Style

Expect clothing that’s relaxed and loose – their Pleated Dress in Polka has our hearts, the Shirt Dress in Lime screams summer {in a good way}, and we can foresee their tunics in pops of colours and prints being in many-a-wardrobe. You see cuts and styles that are reminiscent of other popular indie fashion labels – but Nicobar’s price point and little details {a sliver of embroidery here and there} make it compelling. They also have a range of travel bags up for grabs.

On the home and house section, expect a whole lot of stuff that Gwyneth Paltrow would like – light patterns, bursts of greens and blues, wooden salad bowls with an embossed elephant, bedding in creams and greys.

What We Love

Though they’ve only just launched, and we’re sure they’ve got a lot more coming up over the next weeks, Nicobar’s current collection sets the tone of what’s to come. We are anticipating their upcoming additions across categories to continue being understated, casual and clean. Now, that might not be everyone’s cup of tea- but if there’s one thing that the folks at Good Earth do well, it is to set a trend that everyone follows.

Who It’s For

For starters, the younger Good Earth consumer will be the first to gravitate towards Nicobar. It continues the celebration of Indian fabrics and designs…only this time, we’re on a beach.
