Set on New BEL Road, the look and feel are exactly the same as the original Chennai one - warm, cosy, wooden and somewhat industrial. Community-style tables provide an opportunity to strike up a conversation with strangers and friends. Coming to the baked goodies, you must get your hands on their signature coconut buns that are inspired by the bakeries in Kodaikanal. We vouch for the croissants - flaky and buttery, the custard danish and the range of puffs that really throw it back to when puffs were THE tea-time snack. They also have cereal bread, brioches, bagels and pastries. Plus, jams, preserves, pickles, pasta, honey and chocolate sauces - all handmade, with no preservatives at all.
Folks on the Koramangala side of town, you're in luck since their second store in Bangalore is located in 5th Block Koramangala, and they have all their goodies in place. We've already been there a couple of times and that smell of fresh bakes is just so good!
