Peace Restaurant is one of the best places in Koramangala to grab some Tibetan and Indo-Chinese fare without burning a hole in your pocket.

What Is It?

Peace Restaurant, located in 5th Block, Koramangala, dishes out some super tasty momos and thukpa and that’s just one of the few mouth-watering dishes served at this place.

They have starters like crispy chilli potatoes and honey chilli potatoes in the vegetarian category and the shaptra {a stir fry with the meat and spices} which is made with your choice of meat {chicken, beef or pork} paired with tingmo, which is a soft and steamy pillow of bread, in the non-veg options.

Who Is It For?

This place is for anyone who enjoys momos, authentic Tibetan food and other Asian cuisines. Since prices are reasonable, people who want to pinch their pennies are going to like this place.

What Is The Ambience Like?

Small and cosy with granite tables and cushioned steel chairs. There are a bunch of framed pictures and photos of Tibetan landscape hanging around and one of His Holiness himself, the Dalai Lama.

What To Eat?

Start off is with a plate of momos which comes in 4 variants {veg, chicken, beef and pork}. If you are feeling a bit adventurous avoid the usual route and try out the shaptra and tingmo which are Tibetanetan delicacies,

For the main course, you can go with the usual Indo-Chinese fare but I recommend you go for the thukpa as it is a wholesome meal of soup, noodles and meat or veggies. The special thukpa a is for people who have a higher tolerance for spice than most. Hands down one of the best thukpa served in Bangalore.

How Was My Experience?

The food here is flavourful and makes you crave for more. Portions are satisfying and prices are reasonable, which would explain why the joint is frequented by the college kids around the area.
