Our introduction to Pizza 4P's was when we visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and we were intrigued by their Salmon Miso Cream Pizza and the Crab Tomato Cream Spaghetti. However, we didn't try it then only to regret it later. Imagine our excitement when we heard about the fact that they are opening up their first store in India and that too right here in Bangalore, on the busy 12th Main Indiranagar!
The space is huge and spread across three floors and it's done up with a lot of repurposed and reclaimed wood and has an industrial aesthetic touch to it but with traditional Indian elements like red oxide walls and granite counters. We spotted a lot of rattan and bamboo work too—from the bag basket to the chairs. Oh, and we love how they have worked with local artisans for their cutlery, crockery and serveware. They are huge on sustainability, giving back to nature, and fresh produce, all of which are reflected in the space and food.
We're pretty much regulars here at this point and we're happy that the Salmon Miso and Crab Tomato Cream Spaghetti are on the menu. But before we get into the food, we recommend that if you get seating on the first floor or the rooftop, pop by the second floor to the Cheese Lab where you can see them make fresh cheese such as mozzarella, burrata, ricotta, cream cheese, and camembert. We recommend trying the House Made Cheese Platter where you can try Raclette, Smoked Scamorza, Camembert Truffle, and Blue Cheese. Our go-to order, however, is the 4P's Burrata Tropical Salad which pairs fresh cheesy burrata with assorted fruits and a fennel dressing. It's sweet, bold, salty, cheesy, rich, yet somehow light. Oh and try it with the Parma Ham—beautiful!
For the pasta, we quite love the Basil Pesto Spaghetti that's very herby, sharp, and nutty. Plus, they cook spaghetti al dente which we love. The Crab Tomato Cream Spaghetti has ricotta cheese blended into the tomato cream, making it tangy and creamy pasta while the crab meat adds a delicate sweet flavour to the whole dish. On the sourdough pizza front, they do half-half and so we've tried the Salmon Miso Cream, Yakitori Chicken, Tokyo Chicken Curry, and Korean Chicken Bulgogi. We love the Japanese flavours on our pizza and the Salmon Miso is our favourite followed by the Yakitori Chicken. Oh, and the Okonomiyaki Pizza is brilliant with the crispy bits and bonito flakes topping. On our next visit, we're trying the Parma Ham Margherita!
We skipped desserts on all our visits sans one where we tried the Basque Cheesecake that was light and not at all eggy.
There's wine on the menu should you be interested and nothing like pizza and wine, right? For the rest, there are OG Soda Drinks, kombucha, shakes, and the like.
We are going back for more because we now love Japanese-Italian pizzas.
