A Lavelle Road landmark, Rice Bowl is where you head to tuck into old Chinese favourites generously loaded with the spices, and at prices that make you sing with glee. Every family that was around in the 90s, remembers the iconic Rice Bowl. It was one of the best Chindian restaurants that existed in those happy times, the place is known for its slurpy soups, chowmein, and fried rice.
On the menu are all the old favourites and new additions as well. The ever-popular Sweet Corn Soup rubs shoulders with the Roast Garlic Soup, a clear broth with a delicious caramelised flavour. Crispy Golden Fried Prawns, Drunken Chicken Wings, and Crispy Chilli Potatoes are part of the appetisers section. You can then move on to their Triple Schezwan Chowmein (soft and crispy noodles mixed in with rice, meat, and sauce) or the Rice Bowl Special Fried Rice (that includes a variety of meats) and pair it with Chicken or Pork in Black Bean Song. Finish up with the classic Darsaan (crunchy fried noodles) with ice cream.
