We spoke to Sahil Khan, a product designer at Last9, who moved to Bangalore less than a year ago and is somewhat of a Twitter celeb when it comes to restaurant recommendations. From his exhaustive list, we've curated some of the unique restaurants he recommends. 

Soo Ra Sang

In Sahil's list of must-eat places in Indiranagar is the Korean restaurant, Soo Ra Sang. It's known for its Korean BBQ and large portions. Sahil loves his Asian fix because you're going to see a few more Asian joints below

IDC

The one on Residency Road is what Sahil recommends. While there may be other branches across the city, he says this particular one gets all the staples right. Plus, it's value for money and it's quite convenient too. 

Srinivasa Pork Centre

A hidden gem according to Sahil, he found this place randomly on Swiggy. He's never been to the hotel but swears by the portion and the kick-ass pork chilli masala. If you live in Koramangala, this spot is super close as it is located in Ejipura. 

Bengaluru Oota Company

Sahil loves this restaurant for its fixed menu, meal curation, and balanced portion sizes. In his own words "I love, love, love how everything is balanced". Make sure to try everything including the desserts. The folks at Bengaluru Oota Company are also happy to customise the menu if you're a regular so you don't get too many repeat dishes. 

Arirang

Told you Sahil loves his Asian food! The Beef Bulgogi and Fried Chicken are what he recommends at this Korean restaurant in Kammanahalli. 

Portland Steak House

In Sahil's quest for good burgers, he landed up here to have their Beef Burger and needless to say, it's made to his list of good burgers in town.

Khazana

We love that this Pune-import likes his biryani. He even hosted a Biryani & Board Game Night. At Khazana, he recommends you try their beef biryani.

Siddique Kabab Centre

Their kebabs over any other kebab shop in town. He recommends giving everything on the kebab menu a shot. The place promises over 28 types of kebabs, so go try it out.

Kebapci

This Koramangala joint does Turkish kebaps and Sahil recommends you to try all their variants, especially the mutton ones. 

Naru

While not a restaurant per se, Naru has been bowling over most of Bangalore with its ramen bowls. Sahil, like most of us, finally tried it and loves it. He is still waiting to go for their pop-up.

Chakum Chukum

Their biryanis are a must-try, especially because they're very different from the usual Lucknowi style biryanis. They're more flavourful is what Sahil felt.  

Honourable Mentions

Windmills for the craft beer, cocktails at The Reservoire, roast chicken at DYU Art Cafe, Kerala meals at Shaap, and pork momos & beef shaptak at Tenzin Kitchen.
