Tea-rrific. Brewtiful. You can say our creativi-tea comes from us drinking lots of tea. And boy do we know some really good places in Bangalore to get tea. So if you are looking for a spot in the city for some afternoon tea, or want to spill the tea over tea with your friend, we got you covered. These tea spots will offer you everything from first flush to good old cutting chai and everything in between.

Infinitea Tea Room & Tea Store

When a store is named Infinitea, your assumption that there will be a variety of tea on offer here is absolutely spot on. Fruity flavours, Oolongs, herbal infusions and exotic varieties such as Japanese Gyokuro and Lapsang Souchong are all served here. You can even buy these loose tea leaves to take home after you are done with your tea time. Plus, since they are a tea store, you can also pick up some accessories such as tea cups and brewing kits.

The Polo Club

The Polo Club, the bar at The Oberoi, offers a selection of tea to guests and residents alike. They have a new high tea menu for the summer-monsoon season that features everything from Yelakki Banana Cremeaux to Scones. But it's the tea that we are highlighting that includes the Oberoi blend of the finest Darjeeling and Orange Peko, Silver Needle, White Peony, Early Grey, and Chamomile. Oh and lest we forget, the high-tea menu is three-course.

Price: INR 3,900 for two for the high tea menu

Savera Tea Centre

What is a list of the best tea spots in Bangalore without Savera? A landmark spot in Shivaji Nagar and open pretty much all through the day (3 AM or 3 PM), you will find locals, business folks, area boys, families, and pretty much anyone who loves chai, Sulaimani, and black tea. There's always a crowd (moving in and out) and if you can't find a place to sit, grab some of the biscuits or even a crispy, greasy onion samosa and sip your tea standing while you catch up with your friend or just watch the hustle and bustle.

Price: INR 12

Burma Burma

Burma Burma's tea selection is something that sometimes gets lost in the conversation only because everyone is raving about their all-vegetarian Burmese fare. Their tea is sourced from India, Burma, China, Japan, and even Egypt. We love that their tea menu goes beyond stating the obvious and provides tasting notes and the type. The Ginseng Oolong, Cherry Sencha, and Saffron Kahwa are some that we recommend. They also have a tea store to pick up some blends.

Price: INR 240 upwards

Kongsi Tea Bar

Kongsi Tea Bar is one of our favourite bubble tea spots in the city and they offer a whole range of boba tea that we can't get enough of. Our go-to orders are always Thai Milk Tea, Green Tea with Milk, and Taiwanese Bubble Tea with Brown Sugar. They also offer fruit teas such as Strawberry and Passion Fruit Tea. They are present in a few locations in the city and available online as well.

Price: INR 210 upwards

Roastea

The Koramangala spot serves up interesting tea options along with brick oven pizzas, fresh bakes, and an all-vegetarian menu (sans for a few egg dishes). If you want something fun, then we'll point you to their selection of green tea mocktails that feature drinks such as Lavender Mint, and Mango Peach. They serve kadak chai and artisanal green tea that features Kashmiri Kahwa, and Tulsi Ginger Turmeric blends.

Lobby Lounge

Head to Lobby Lounge at Shangri-La, if you are looking for a spot in the city for some afternoon tea. Pair your tea with a mix of Indian teatime snacks such as Mumbai Masala Toastie and Nei Idli. Or you could get some Club Sandwiches. The space offers a collection of tea from around the world and you can pick options such as everybody's favourite Early Grey Tea as well as Royal Darjeeling Tea, Vanilla Bourbon, Morrocan Mint, Sencha Tea, and White Tea.
