Never thought much about the tech parks in the city? While they might not really come under your list of “hangout spots” {unless you work there or stay in the area, of course}, these hubs have their fair share of restaurants and cafes to keep you there for quite a while. We went scouting at RMZ Infinity on Old Madras Road to check out what they had to offer. From make-your-own pastas to desi khana, there’s enough options here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, plenty of open space and greenery with a beautiful landscaped garden area with fountains and ducks to help you unwind.

California Burrito

Starbucks

Want a quick caffeine fix while heading to work? This trusted coffee shop outlet will sort you out with everything from Cappuccino to Flat White. We’re also fans of their Signature Hot Chocolate, which comes topped with a dollop of cream. With even light-eats such as sandwiches and salads to pick from, Starbucks is your BFF for a breakfast run or a four’o’ clock snack craving. Quite spacious and not too crowded, the cafe has an outdoor seating area where you can sit back in the evenings with your cuppa. Oh, and free Wi-Fi, so you can always finish off that last-minute presentation.

California Burrito

The quick service and varied options here make California Burrito a favourite lunch spot among those working in and around RMZ Infinity. With fixed meals and combos, they have rice bowls, burritos, nachos and salads {mini and regular} to load up on. Or you can go ahead and try their Make Your Own Meal option which lets you pick from fillings such as Sizzling BBQ Tofu and Caribbean Chicken, along with toppings such as black beans, salsa and sour cream.

Le Casse Croute

Love the goodies from this French food truck? Then we suggest you keep an eye on their Facebook page to know when they will be parking in the area. Their croques {or sandwiches} are a hit with us, while the crepes with fillings make for a light meal. We suggest you try the Madame Garcia sandwich {with basil pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella} or the Monsieur Champetre, filled with mustard chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and caramelised onions. Finish off with their Creme de la Creme — homemade caramel cream served with  Langues de Chat {French cat’s tongue cookies}. Read more about it here.

Chai Point

Nothing like a cup of chai to liven up your day, right? Whether you’re the kind who prefers ordering online or heading out for it, look no further than Chai Point {they have an outlet at the tech park}. Their Masala chai, Dum chai and Lemon Tea are top favourites, perfect to be paired with a slice of their Banana Cake {soft and not overly sweet} or even the poha.

Upsouth

Sometimes, nothing quite beats good old idlis, vadas and dosas when it comes to satisfying your hunger pangs. Their menu includes regular breakfast dishes such as mini idlis, masala dosa, uthappam, pongal and poori bhaji. Want something more filling? Go for their combos {includes a South Thali}, which come with quite a few dishes, served with sambhar, chutney or curry. Perfect for late evenings when you’re feeling peckish, their Snacky South Combo has Malabari Parota Sandwich, Crispy Bullets, Cutlet and Sabudana Cheese Vada to munch on.
