What Makes It Awesome

If the words smoked, clarified, and infused excite you when it comes to cocktails, then at The Drawing Room, you are in for a treat. The cocktail-forward space finds itself a home inside Smoke House Deli, Indiranagar on the first floor. Visually different from the deli-like setting downstairs, The Drawing Room is inspired by the Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. Picture a white space with verdant hues in the form of thematic murals and artwork on the wall (think pocket watches, White Rabbit, Cheshire cat), foliage, and upholstery. Seating is lounge and plush, but there are high chairs by the beautiful bar should you wish to see your bartender work their magic. Come afternoons, the space is naturally lit thanks to the large windows, making it ideal for those cocktail lunches with friends. Evenings, the space transforms into an intimate yet energetic space to unwind or have that much-needed weekend out with the crew.

But enough about the space (we want you to go experience all that and more yourself), let's talk spirits. Ten signature cocktails, 10 classic cocktails, sangrias, and a gin experience are what will add merry to your experience. A sober version of Wonderland is what this teetotaller writer had first, and the general consensus was that it was the prettiest drink on the table—edible flowers, frozen cranberries and blueberries, and all that jazz. The spirit version features Tanqueray No. 10 gin, mango fig botanical water, lemon, and thyme. Both the sober and spirit-forward version of Raspberry Foam was enjoyed by the table for the fruity flavours and the subtleness of the milk-clarified fruit punch. The Lory's Spiced Rum and Chai features a milk-clarified Kashmiri Kahwa Green Tea with Kraken Rum.

For nosh, small plates and sharing platters are recommended. We quite enjoyed the Saked-tossed Edamame Beans, Twice Cooked Pork Belly, and Creamy Goan Choriz Squares.

Pro-Tip

The Gin Experience lets you pick up from a selection of gins such as Roku, Trading Tides, Gordon's and Monkey 47.
