You walk into this restaurant, and it takes your breath away. If it looks like we're exaggerating, let us defend ourselves here. Pali Bhavan serves Indian food with a contemporary twist. And their wine menu could easily pass off as the best in the city. You will be served by the most courteous and polite waiters, ever. And they aren't trying too hard. Sometimes, some places and their people are just like that. On the worst of your days, you can head here to pamper yourself, and be pampered too.
From the menu, we'd recommend ordering the red cabbage momos, murg tikka, and the allepy fish curry with neeri {think dosa version of an appam}. The portions are generous- we were pretty much forcing ourselves to eat because the food was so good. There's an excellent Rose wine- called Vallonne, from Nashik. that we laid our hands on. And were super impressed by the local wines coming out of India! Their menu is super expansive, so expect to find something for every kinda palate.
