Eat, Drink & Shop: Here's Everything You Can Do In HSR Layout

A lot of the shopping spots in HSR is located on 27th Main, Sector 1 and you'll find everything from apparel to decor here. NIFT Bangalore is located in 27th Main, so you'll also find budget stores that cater to the student population that live around the area. 

27th Main has stores such as Bata, Itse, Global Desi, AND, Louis Philippe, FabIndia, Indian Terrain, Asics, Levi's, Adidas, Puma, Biba, W, Skechers, and Miniso. Stores such as Max, Unlimited, and Reliance Trends are located in Sector 3 and Sector 7. 

The cutesy home furnishing store stocks colourful bed and home linen. You can pick up curtains, cushion covers, table linen such as placemats and table runners, and bed linen such as bedsheets and quilts here. The store also has a collection of home decor products such as wall frames and organisers. 

One of our favourite decor brands, the store will leave you wanting to take  the whole store back home. You can find serveware and tableware to home decor accents. Pick up ceramic plates, serving bowls, table linen, and kitchenware. 

This relatively new store is a ceramic haven. From mugs to plates and to vases to dinner sets, you'll find enough ceramicware to fill up your home with. These tableware products are available in various finishes and you can also pick up individual pieces as well as sets. 

We knew we're adulting max when we checked out this store. You can pick up storage containers and food storage containers in various shapes and sizes. Plus, they also have a collection of serveware and cookware. 

Fabuliv's experience centre is a delight for any home decor enthusiast. From furniture to lighting and decor to kitchenware, the store is perfect for anyone setting up a new space or planning a makeover. Definitely check the furniture section that includes bar stools, cabinets, and tv consoles. 

Fabuliv store is currently shut due to a fire that broke out at their factory. 

The home decor store is spread across three floors and you'll find furniture, furnishings, and decor options here. The tableware and home furnishing sections are our favourites. Pick up colourful cushion covers, area rugs, and wall decor in case you are looking at a corner makeover at home. 

The experience store apart from stocking up the furniture of all kinds, also help you plan your space as well as pick up materials and figure out the specifications of the pieces. You can also meet with architects and interior designers who frequent the space. 

Find pretty bed sheets, bed covers, quilts, dohars, curtains, and other home linen here. You have a lot of selection to go through and shop to your heart's content. We love the curtain and the bed sheet section with the latter featuring many cotton bed sheets with floral prints. 

Rare Rabbit: The premium luxury brand has contemporary clothing for men. Find shirts, t-shirts, polos, blazers and jackets, trousers, pants, and shorts. 

Celio: The men's apparel brand has shirts, polos, t-shirts, pants, jeans, trousers, and shorts. 

Style Union: The affordable apparel store has in-trend clothing such as dresses, tops, t-shirts, skirts and other western wear for the whole family. The store is spread across two floors with the ground floor dedicated to the women's section. 

Wrogn: The youth fashion apparel brand has a collection mostly for men and you will also find the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders replica jerseys here. Find bottom wear such as ripped to skinny jeans here. Pick up shirts, t-shirts, jackets, and hoodies as well. 

Hamley's: The toy store is a treat for children and adults alike. You will find everything from plush toys to building blocks, and action figures to RC vehicles. 

Jaypore stocks up on products including home decor, accessories, jewellery, apparel, and gifts. The store has bestsellers from its website on display and for sale at the store. Check out the home decor and kitchen section and pick up tableware and serveware. 

The small basement store has affordable leather footwear for men starting at IR 1,650. You can find Oxfords, Mules, Brogue, Chelsea, and Wing Tip formal shoes as well as slip ons, slides, and sandals. You'll find a few accessories such as belts and wallets. 

HSR has a few factory outlets that let you shop from top brands at discounted rates. 

Nike Factory Store: The store stocks up running shoes, running apparel, and athleisure for men and women. At any given time, you can find a 30-40 per cent discount at the store. 

Peter England Outlet: The outlet has formal wear and casual wear for men and women. Find discounts ranging from 30 per cent to Buy 2 Get 2 Free. 

Van Heusen Outlet: You can find power dressing as well as casual wear for men and women. Discounts start at 30 per cent and there's often a Buy 2 Get 1 Free option going on at any given time.  

Louis Philippe Outlet: Blazers, jackets, three-piece suits, and formal wear that's perfect for boardroom meetings are what's available here. You can find all these discounts starting at 20 per cent.

Allen Solly Outlet: The store has outfits for men, women, and kids. Find dresses to tops and jeans to t-shirts at discounted rates here.

The motorcycle gear store is a haven for pros and enthusiasts. You can find riding jackets, gloves, pants, helmets, riding accessories and gear such as phone mounts, and luggage. You can also talk to the owner and get her help in case you any have doubts. Find brands such as Motul, AGV, and Shiro here.

The beauty store stocks up all your latest and trend beauty products -- makeup to skincare and hair care to body care. There's also a salon attached to the store, Aveda x Nykaa, so once you are done with your makeover, you can head to the store and pick up some products.

RK Couture is a one-stop-shop for anything wedding and looking lit. The boutique will fit and set you up with a one-of-a-kind outfit for everything from Mehendi to the big day. 

HSR's food scene is bustling with cafes, bakeries, patisseries,  restaurants, street food joints, and hole-in-the-wall eateries serving everything from chaat to momos and steak to vegetarian options. 

The steakhouse has salads, burgers, pasta, steaks, and drinks. But of course, you need to go here for the steak. You can get chicken, pork, seafood, and tenderloin steak options. The Pork Knight Rises comes highly recommended. 

The Punjabi vegetarian restaurant will keep your cravings and hunger at bay when it comes to Punjabi food. Our go-to order is the Chole Combo, Paneer Butter Masala Combo, and Veg Kolhapuri. 

This quick-service joint serves up idli, vada, and dosa (it's similar to your Taaza Thindi) as well as lunch and dinner options that include roti and curry. 

The brewhouse has craft beer on tap and the menu includes everything from Asian starters such as Coorgi Pork, Chilly Chicken, and Amritsari Fish Tikka. 

The pet-friendly vegan and vegetarian cafe has an all-day breakfast, and small bites such as plant-based mock chicken nuggets, panini, and New York-style flatbread. The whole space channels the vibes of New York when it comes to food, coffee, and pets. 

The Puducherry brand serves up fresh gelato and ice cream in flavours that include fruits, nuts, and chocolate. We love their strawberry and pomegranate gelato. You'll find vegan options here. 

The neighbourhood’s go-to snack joint is known for its five types of flavoured pani for their pani puri and a selection of chaat and North Indian meals. You can easily have a meal under INR 200. 

Most of Sector 3's techie folks end up here for a drink or two after the day's work. From cheap draught beer to budget finger food, this no-frills place is perfect for a fun time. 

Our other favourite Punjabi restaurant in HSR, this ones serves up some of our favourite dishes such as Chicken Malamal, Paneer Lababadar, and Kandhari Chicken. The place is often packed during lunch time and on weekends dinner, so be sure to head there early. 

The massive space is perfect for live sports screenings, weekend party shenanigans, and an endless supply of cocktails and beer. The space is perfect if you are going with a gang and there are a lot of spots for taking pictures. 

Go here for the wings and stay back for the budget-friendly beer and cocktails. The crowd is mixed and you'll find college seniors to techie folks rubbing shoulders and grooving to music late evenings and well into the night. 

The fine-dine restaurant is known for its Japanese live Teppanyaki and sushi bar. Perfect for family outings or for celebrations. They also have an Indian and Italian menu along with a selection of house cocktails.

The restaurant specialises in Mangalorean, coastal and seafood. We love their Chicken Gassi, Ghee Roast Masala, and seasonal fish fry. GO here for lunch and then head back home and nap, cause the meal will leave you happy, full, and sleepy.

One of HSR's best restaurants Here & Now is known for its cafe fare -- you'll find filling burgers, a selection of pasta, and an all-day breakfast menu. Come weekends, the place is packed in the mornings. 

Special Mentions:

Davanagere Benne Dose: This small eatery has some crispy and buttery dosas. Perfect for evening snacks. Do also try their paddus. 

Maya Momos Shop: This small hole-in-the-wall eatery serves up momos, starters such as Chilli Chicken and Baby Corn Manchurian, and noodles and fried rice. 

Third Wave Coffee: There are two outlets here (Sector 1 and Sector 3) and you can go here to get your caffeine fix. The Sector 1 outlet is Insta-pretty, just so you know.  

TBC SkyLounge: Another spot for some drinks and cocktails with a rooftop setting. 

Cirkus: Another neighbourhood drinking joint known for its rooftop setting and signature cocktails. 

Indigo X2P: The rooftop bar is known for live screenings and live music and playlist. Their bar bites are quite yum too.  

Rashtrakutas: Known for its authentic Nati-style meat dishes and done biryani

Agara Lake: HSR's most famous landmark, Agara Lake is where you head for some fresh air, bird sighting, and jogs. The park has benches, toilets, and an outdoor gym. Cycling and pets aren't allowed inside the park, however. 

Swaa Clay Studio: One of our favourite ceramic brands, you can check out Swaa Clay Studio for basic pottery classes that include hand-building and learning on the wheel. You can also pick up ceramicware such as plates, bowls, and mugs from here. 

Maati Sona Pottery: The pottery studio is next door to Swaa and you can learn pottery here as well as pick up ceramic ware for your home. 

Namma Shuttle: Channel your inner PV Sindhu or Prakash Padukone on their wooden and synthetic courts. Show off your cool smashes and serves with your friends, and if you become a regular, there's an amazing community to interact with.

The Binge Club: It's a private mini theatre in HSR that allows you to watch any TV show or movie of your choosing, in the company of your closest friends, complete with Dolby Atmos sound and a 135-inch giant screen.
