Before you wonder about the prices, let me tell you, Trivik is not cheap. In fact, it’s a bit expensive, it starts around INR 15,000 for two, but then it includes plenty of things too. More about that later. Now back to the acres of coffee and good views… In the heart of Chikmagalur, Trivik Resort is set on the Chandra Drona Hill of the Mullayangiri range. The place has it all — luxury, views, a kids play area and a divine infinity pool. Since it's on a hillside, there’s no real layout for the cottages. They’re all scattered on the property so you not only get privacy, but you also get the best views. Each cottage is a bit different and overlooks a side of the mountain and valley the others don’t.
As gorgeous as the outdoors here is, the interiors are pretty impressive too. Sloped roofs and stone walls add that hint of the English countryside, but the plush sofas, writing desks and modern lamps bring you back to the present year. Plus, private balconies to drink fresh coffee (it is Chikmagalur, after all) in. If you are into yoga, make a mental note of the bonfire deck, where you can also practice yoga. Or wallow in the infinity pool which really has the best views of the property. Except for mealtimes, because all meals are on the house and their multi-cuisine buffet is really good. Indian, Chinese and a smattering of Continental is what you’ll get. So build up an appetite with plantation walks, treks, and some bird watching and then load up on food.
