Bangalore’s Asian scene is popping with restaurants such as Misu, 1Q1, and Shizusan Shophouse & Bar. But these are restaurants that serve meat along with a well-stocked veggie-friendly menu. In this list, we picked out those vegetarians-only Asian joints that serve all the classics such as khao suey along with interesting options such as hot pots. This list is for all you vegetarians, newly veg folks, those with veg tendencies, and even vegans. Oh yes, these restaurants are inclusive too!

Burma Burma

The restaurant’s vegetarian-only menu pays homage to the South East Asian country’s heritage, culture and of course, the food. The Samosa Soup is something that even the most hardcore meat eater will love! We definitely do! Khao suey comes in several different forms with the Oh No Khow Suey a must-try! The restaurant takes their tea very seriously, and is an essential part of the cuisine here and acts as a perfect palate cleanser.

Patio 805

Jayanagar’s home to some of the best vegetarian restaurants we have been to and Patio 805 is for anyone looking for vegetarian Asian bowls and hotpots in Jayanagar or South Bangalore. Owned by the same folks as Hanoi, the Vietnamese restaurant, Patio’s menu has interesting starters in the form of Vegetable Fritters On Sugarcane Sticks and Crispy Wok Tossed Mushroom. Vietnamese Asian Noodle bowl gets our thumbs up too. While we are we are not fans of South East Asian desserts, we recommend the Fig and Red wine ice cream, made in-house.

The Asian Curry House

A new entrant to Malleswaram’s thriving vegetarian scene, The Asian Curry House menu picks up on Chinese, Japanese, and Burmese cuisines heavily with sushi, dim sums, and baos featuring as highlights. The Asparagus tempura and cream cheese sushi is a must-try. Crunch Lotus Stem and Indonesian Cottage Cheese Stay along with Masaman Curry and Japanese Udon Noodles is the ideal meal for two!
