Congress Bun and Dum Roat from VB Bakery. You start your VV Puram eating crawl from here and these are some of the most popular dishes at the iconic VB Bakery. The Dum Roat is available only on weekends and in limited quantities. Try the Honey Cake or the Bun Butter Jam if you want something sweet. These will set you back by INR 30-100.
Kodbubale from Arya Vysa Refreshment. As you meander past the crowd, stop by here and pick up some freshly made kodbubale (a deep-fried snack made with rice flour and yoghurt). It's usually served with chutney. You can also pack some for home. This will set you back by around INR 40-60.
Potato Twisties can be found pretty much anywhere on Food Street. These will set you back by INR 50-60.
Capsicum Bajji and Rava Vada from Sri Swamy Bajji Centre. This place serves various kinds of bajjis and it is quite crowded towards the evening. They also do Pineapple Bajji and Mangalore Bajjis. A plate here will set you back by INR 30-40.
Paddu, Ghee Dosa, and Thatte Idli from Sri Vasavi Mane Thindi. This is one of the most popular and crowded restaurants on the street and they serve up a whole lot of other things such as pav bahji to akki roti as well. A meal here would cost you anywhere between INR 50 and INR 150.
Idlis and Onion Uthappam from Sri Gurudev Eating House. This is a hole-in-the-wall joint that serves some of the softest idlis and crispy uthappams with chutney. A plate of idlis here will set you back by only INR 40.
Holigae from Vasavi Janatha Hotel. This really isn't our favourite of the lot but we know a lot of people who enjoy this sweet roti-like dish. This will cost you around INR 50.
Pepper Corn from Shri Om Shakti Corn Centre. This was one of our favourite stalls way back when we featured him in our video. He adds an assorted of fruits and raw mango to the roasted corn and makes a dish called Navratna. This will set you back by INR 120.
Kulfi and Badam Milk Sri Ganesh Rajasthan Malai Kulfi. Save this for the end once you are done with your eating spree. Wash down all that food with the pipping hot badam milk. This will set you back by INR 70-100.
