What Makes It Awesome?

A very refreshing take on North Indian & South Indian Cuisine in a restaurant that serves both but doesn’t Fusion it up. The ambience is very neutral to both the Indian extremities, the food, however, is something that will blow your mind.

I sat down with a nice glass of Masala Chaas, that was a tad bit salty, the way it should be, with a striking hit of Chaat Masala.

Being South Indian & Someone Who celebrates North Indian food as well, I decided to spice up by ordering something from both the cuisines. What better can it be with a Spicy Kerala Seer Fish Fry?

Though the fish wasn’t as fresh as I would expect, the fish was beautifully marinated, perfectly fried, a tad bit spicy that I loved it.

From the North, I had the Kandhari Chicken, a well marinated, succulent chicken that was perfectly cooked in Tandoor & well seasoned. The pickled onions on the side were more perfect than the Mint Chutney.

I did try another North Indian & my favourite Reshmi Kebab. After a very long time am getting to see it served with a frothy white egg white topping like it used to be. Absolutely loved the taste & devoured it in minutes.

Did sample a crispy Curd Kebab which my vegetarian friends had ordered, Fabulous Preparation, loved the twist of pomegranates peaking here and there in the kebab.

Overly full with the starters decided to keep mains simple, ordered a few Rotis and a few Curries to share.

From the north, we tried the Butter Chicken, Kadai Chicken, and Jinga Simla Mirch.

This place truly nailed it with the butter Chicken in their Kitchen. Slightly sweet, with a mild hit of hot, and strips of tore down Tandoori Chicken, this dish hit us all in the right places of our palate & we just could not stop serving it to our plates.

The Kadai Chicken was very good, spicy and balanced. The Jinga Simla Mirch was an equally amazing dish that was beautifully cooked & Presented.

From the south, we had a beautifully cooked, flavourful Chicken Stew with Kal Dosa. A perfect combination made in heaven, Plated around our palates, quite strongly. The mild sweetness from the coconut milk was rightly balanced by the mild spices that went beautifully with the dosas, I absolutely could not resist this.

While there is always a place for desserts, I reserved some to try their Deep Fried Ice Cream, that was fantastic. I would say it’s more of an Indian Chinese take, but the tutti fruity Filling with mango made it more Indian than you think.

When North Met South is a must try, for the fabulous North Indian fare & they authentic & spicy South Indian fare, the price point is decent & service superbly quick, head here & share your views as comments.
