What Makes It Awesome

An old-school restaurant that has stood the test of time, Woody’s is a rather popular pit stop on Commercial Street where you can refuel with South Indian and Chinese food, or even short eats. Woody’s is best for a quick dosa and coffee in the middle of your shopping. For the shopper who won’t give up, but needs that little break in the middle, Woody’s is great respite. More so because they even have a bathroom, and on Commercial Street, a clean one is a real treasure! There’s nothing really spectacular about the ambience, but the downstairs area is for a real quick meal and has standing tables dotting the space. For a more leisurely meal, head upstairs to where there’s booths and air-conditioning.

You can get it all here, meals and short eats such as bisi bisi masala dosa to Meals, both North Indian and South Indian that come with an assortment of curries, dals, a healthy portion of rice and rotis. However, if the shopping calls and you can just take in a bite before the ensuing shopping haul, go for their snacks, chats, chinese and south-Indian tiffin items and probably a coffee to wash it all down. We’d recommend their tumbler idlis here that come in a shape of the glass in which they were steamed. Filling for a person with the ghee poured on top, these make for a good pre/mid-shopping snack. Open almost anytime, refuel at this iconic Commercial street outlet and you won’t regret.
