Located right opposite IIM Bangalore (they are in the same building as Big Bazaar), The Yellow Submarine makes for a charming rooftop spot. The place is pretty huge, so ideal for you and your squad. Of course, being Beatle-themed, you’ll spot plenty of odes to the rock ‘n’ roll band. The bar counter is a Yellow Submarine, there’s an Octopus Garden, and even a water cascade that evokes While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
If you are here on a warm summer night, the Cubed Watermelon Salad with Feta Cream will get you off to a great start. The chunks of sweet fruit come soaked in a slightly-spicy Sriracha Vinaigrette and the creamy feta cream adds a delicious, salty dimension. What we loved best about The Yellow Submarine’s culinary efforts is their willingness to go the extra mile. For example, with the Char Siu Pork Belly, the cut of meat is cooked for 8 hours before being presented with a pork and burnt garlic broth along with sauteed onions and bell peppers. The meat simply melts in your mouth although we found the broth a tad underwhelming.
Whether it's the Paisa Vasool Menu (INR 120 for 30 ml of Antiquity Blue) or the Infusion Shooters Menu (tequila shots starting from INR 200), you can get drunk on a budget here. They even have a 2+1 offer on artisan beer starting from INR 175 for 330 ml. The Stir Fried Pork Noodles will make for a great eat after a few rounds of beer. The slivers of meat coat the slight chewy hand-made noodles with just the right amount of grease. Finish up, with their Housemade Snicker Bar — an airy, reinvention of the classic candy bar.
